Mega Rayquaza ex Dominates, Zinnia Falls Short

Storm Emeralda officially released in Japan on July 31, 2026, and early card prices are giving collectors a first look at which cards are attracting the most attention.

While prices will continue to fluctuate as more cards enter the market, the current rankings offer a snapshot of the expansion's biggest chase cards.

Mega Rayquaza ex Takes the Top Two Spots

The Mega Ultra Rare currently holds the top spot thanks to its extremely low pull rate, while the Special Illustration Rare follows closely behind as the second most valuable card in the expansion.

Both cards have opened at prices similar to the premium Mega Darkrai ex cards from the previous Japanese set, Abyss Eye.

As more Storm Emeralda booster boxes are opened, prices and rankings are expected to change. However, Mega Rayquaza ex currently dominates the market with three cards in the Top 10, including the coveted Mega Ultra Rare and Special Illustration Rare.

Zinnia's Trust Debuts Lower Than Expected

One of the biggest surprises is Zinnia's Trust.

Special Illustration Rare Supporter cards featuring popular female Trainers often rank among the most valuable cards shortly after release. However, Zinnia's Trust currently sits behind several Pokémon cards instead of competing for the top spots.

Its market value has already begun to stabilize, suggesting collectors may have settled on its long-term price sooner than expected.
