The pull rates for 30th Celebration have been determined by our friends at TCGplayer after opening 3,000 English booster packs. Like 2021's Celebrations, the set offers relatively accessible pull rates across most rarities, making it a true celebration for collectors.
The set's Special Illustration Rares are significantly easier to pull than those from recent sets, appearing at approximately 1 in 21 booster packs. For comparison, Pitch Black had an SIR pull rate of around 1 in 80 packs.
Illustration Rares can be found in approximately 1 in 5 packs, making them around twice as easy to pull as the 1-in-9 rate seen in Pitch Black.
A Classic Collection card appears approximately once every 10 packs.
The Mewtwo ex and Mew ex Futuristic Rares are considerably harder to find, with a pull rate of approximately 1 in 120 booster packs. This makes them around 1.5 times rarer than the Special Illustration Rares found in recent sets.
Unfortunately, TCGplayer did not open enough packs to reliably determine the pull rates for the three RGB Mew cards. There has not yet been a sample size large enough to establish an accurate rate.
Determining pull rates for special sets can be particularly difficult because their booster packs are only available through a limited number of special products, making it challenging to obtain thousands of packs for testing.
For comparison, Mega Darkrai ex's gold card from Pitch Black was found approximately once every 1,081 packs, based on a sample of 4,000 packs.
With only 3,000 30th Celebration packs opened, the three RGB Mew cards can currently be considered to be in gold-card territory at minimum in terms of rarity. However, this does not mean they are impossibly rare.
If Pitch Black had contained three different gold cards, a sample of 4,000 packs would not necessarily have been enough to reliably determine the pull rate of each one. A much larger sample of 30th Celebration packs will be needed to establish the individual pull rates for the RGB Mew cards.
