Select Pokémon Leagues will once again host special Pokémon Day celebrations on February 27, 2026, marking the franchise’s 30th anniversary. These local events are a big part of the yearly tradition and give players of all skill levels a chance to join the celebration in person.
Event activities will vary by League, but Trainers can expect a mix of tournaments, casual battles, and learn-to-play sessions designed to welcome both experienced players and newcomers to the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
The highlight for collectors is an exclusive reverse holo Bulbasaur promo card featuring a “Pokémon Day 2026” stamp. This card will only be distributed through participating Pokémon Leagues while supplies last and will not be available through retail or other promotions.

Bulbasaur promo card
Last year marked the first time TPCi provided Leagues with a dedicated Pokémon Day stamped promo, which was a holo Sylveon. With Bulbasaur headlining this year, it appears this has become an annual tradition, making these promos especially appealing for long-term collectors.
In addition to the stamped Bulbasaur, Leagues will receive various Pokémon TCG products to use as prize support. Distribution of these items is up to each individual League, so rewards may differ depending on the event and location. So far, reports suggest that Leagues are receiving the same product bundles.
If you want to attend, the easiest way to locate a participating League is by using the event locator on Pokémon.com. Since space and promo supplies may be limited, arriving early is a smart move.
