Japanese Pokémon Booster Pack Prices Increasing After May 2026

Japanese Pokémon Booster Pack Prices Increasing

Creatures has announced that due to rising material costs and other factors, the MSRP of Japanese Pokémon booster packs from sets released after May 2026 will increase from 180 yen to 200 yen. This represents about a 10 percent price increase, or roughly $0.13 more per pack. You can see the original announcement here on PokéBeach.

As a result, standard 30-pack booster boxes are also expected to rise in price from 5,400 yen to 6,000 yen, which works out to about $4 more per box.

The last booster pack price increase occurred in October 2022 at the start of the Scarlet & Violet series, when prices went from 165 yen to 180 yen, also around a 10 percent jump. At that time, a broad range of Pokémon TCG products saw price increases, not just booster packs.

Shortly after Japan’s adjustment in 2022, The Pokémon Company International also raised English product prices in December 2022. For now, it is unclear whether similar increases will happen outside Japan, especially since this current change only affects Japanese booster packs and production is handled by different factories.
