First Partner Illustration Collections Celebrate Pokémon’s 30th Anniversary

To mark Pokémon’s 30th anniversary, a new series of First Partner Illustration Collections will release throughout 2026, starting with Series 1 on 30 March 2026. Early details about the product were first reported by PokéBeach, and you can read their full breakdown here on PokeBeach.

Series 1 will feature Starter Pokémon from Kanto, Sinnoh, and Alola. Each collection includes:

• A special promo booster pack containing three of nine Illustration Rare promo cards
• Two additional booster packs
• A sticker sheet

First Partner Illustration Collections

Series 2 and 3 will follow later in the year, featuring Starter Pokémon from the remaining six generations.

This new release is reminiscent of the First Partner Packs from 2021, which celebrated Pokémon’s 25th anniversary. Those packs featured each generation’s three Starter Pokémon as jumbo cards, alongside two booster packs, and reprinted their original TCG designs.

It’s possible that some of the cards in the 2026 collections will originate from a Japan-only Celebration Collection set, also expected this year, created to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise or the TCG itself.
